Compassion. Accountability. Respect. Equity. Safety. These are our values; together, they spell CARES.
Caring is what we do – for each other, our patients and families, and the communities we live and work in.
In the emergency room, nurses and physicians give comfort and compassion to patients and families. Critical care teams keep themselves and each other accountable by knowing the processes and procedures to do their work effectively.
Our ongoing commitment to Truth and Reconciliation is one of the many ways we show respect, honoring traditional ways and the knowledge of Elders. Throughout the province teams of leaders, patient family partners, and Traditional Knowledge Keepers are working together to remove barriers and create health equity for all.
Every day teams work to keep staff, physicians, patients and families safe – physically, psychologically, and culturally.
