Administrative Information Management System update
The Administrative Information Management System (AIMS), which was previously launched in October 2022, is gearing up for an expanded user testing phase.
AIMS will replace more than 80 legacy systems that are reaching the end of use. AIMS covers systems in the areas of finance, payroll, scheduling, human resources and supply chain management.
Following the launch and subsequent pause of AIMS last fall, we have been listening to employees and have made improvements in performance and design.
What you need to know:
- The AIMS project team heard employees’ concerns about time entry and approval, system performance and staff scheduling, and as a result, many improvements have been made to the system’s design, performance and usability.
- This fall and winter, targeted health-system employees will test the system and provide feedback that will drive further improvements.
- While not every organization may be involved in the tests, significant effort is being made to ensure that all organizations' needs are considered. The feedback and experiences of the testing groups will inform any additional system improvements required before AIMS is introduced into the health-care sector.
- We have identified the departments and are connecting with the managers in those applicable departments for testing. We will then work with those managers to identify the specific employee who will participate in user testing.
- Like all major systems, including the ones currently in place, it will be enhanced and improved over time by responding to user feedback and business needs. Important information about testing, training and learning, and how the change will affect employees will be shared later this fall.
