AIMS this week - December 12, 2024
Wave one stabilization progress update
Recent stabilization progress includes:
- Task teams have been formed for year-end payroll testing to ensure T4s will be available for all employees and transmitted to Canada Revenue Agency by February 28, 2025.
- A system issue was identified that was causing a delay in job postings. Teams are working to resolve it and expect job posting wait queues to return to normal levels by end of this week.
- Payroll teams continue to analyze various payroll issues that are arising and supporting employees in receiving accurate pay.
AIMS improves 3sHealth’s contracting data
3sHealth’s Provincial Contracting team is already seeing improvements in the Administrative Information Management System (AIMS). This group organizes and manages over 3,100 product and service contracts on behalf of the provincial health system. The centralization of contracting data provided by AIMS has made that work easier.
“The AIMS contracts database replaces an old spreadsheet, turning a manual tracking system into an online database that’s sortable and searchable,” explains John Britton, 3sHealth’s Director of Provincial Contracting. “It gives us significantly more functionality.” Britton is also excited by the potential insights provided by another AIMS innovation.
“We now have access in AIMS to check data on contracts. We’ve never had that, because previously our partners all had their own systems.”
3sHealth manages a portion of the health system’s contracts, with a significant number under the purview of the Saskatchewan Health Authority. Britton notes that this information will allow his team to work closely with the SHA and other partners to make better contract decisions in the future.
