New AIMS training materials
As part of AIMS, expanded functionality will launch in MyConnection this summer. MyConnection is your front door to AIMS. To prepare for upcoming changes, it’s important for all staff to log in to MyConnection to review training materials. Training materials for all employees can be found under the MyKnowledge tab in MyConnection.
Employees should start by viewing the training presentation in the Featured articles in MyConnection, All Employees Introduction to AIMS Training – START HERE. This presentation highlights the training all staff will access in the coming weeks, as it is made available.
One-page summaries of the changes staff will see during a staggered launch of AIMS include:
- Viewing your payslips (KB0013989)

Restriction Periods
With the planned launch of AIMS this summer, restrictions on a number of business processes will be put in place, including:
- Job posting restriction period: From June 3 to June 24, new job postings will be restricted for the implementation period.
- Employee movement and HR transaction restriction period: From June 11 to June 30, there will be a limit to the number of staff changes that can be processed, including new hires and transfers.
- Finance change restrictions: From May 27 until after implementation, there will be a limit to changes to the chart of accounts, payroll department changes, including adding a new user and cost centre changes.
- Business structure restriction period: From May 28 to August 6, there will be a 10-week restriction period in which there can be no additions or updates made in human resources and financial systems related to locations, departments, department jobs, and assignment of chart of accounts to departments and jobs.
- Supply Chain Inventory restrictions: From May 16 until after implementation, new supplies cannot be added to inventory or stock added to supply carts.
- Expense Reimbursements: From June 17 to July 1, there will be a pause on the completion of expense reimbursements.
For each restriction period, exception processes are in place to address any urgent need. Additional information about exception criteria and processes will be shared soon.
AIMS broadcast messaging
Surrounding the expansion of the functionality of MyConnection and the implementation of the first wave of the AIMS project this summer, staff will be receiving important updates and reminders via email, text, or automated phone call.
The first message regarding the setting of your preferred email will be sent on Monday May 27 at 1200 hours.
