AIMS this week - October 3, 2024
Wave 1 stabilization progress update
- Human resources (HR) staff are strengthening workflow processes that support recruitment and hiring, from posting a position to an employee’s first day on the job. Since late August, there has been a 70 per cent reduction in the number of hiring cases waiting to be resolved.
- Payroll errors continue to be investigated and addressed as identified. Data entry and reimbursement calculations are improving. New functionality provides increased visibility on back-ordered supplies and was rolled out to Moose Jaw employees. Once stabilized, this functionality will roll out to remaining sites.
- Supply chain requisitions converted to purchase orders has gone from two weeks to 24 hours in urban centres, with 75 to 80 per cent of provincial purchase orders coming from Regina and Saskatoon.
- Great progress has been made correcting and verifying vendor data, which has had a positive impact on invoice payments; incomplete invoices waiting over 30 days has decreased by 90 per cent.
- Since September 10, invoices not ready for payment has decreased by 47 per cent.
- Support sessions are being offered to employees on a number of HR, finance, and supply chain-related topics to support system and process learning.
