Indigenous mental health and healing resource
On June 28, the pihtikwê podcast launched on the Saskatchewan NEIHR Network (National Network Environments for Indigenous Health Research). The podcast is produced by First Nation psychologists who are a part of the Ontario NEIHR. It shares Indigenous worldviews and culturally safe approaches to addressing mental health and wellness.
The launch kicked off with SK-NEIHR Principal Investigator, Dr. Holly Graham, who works specifically in Theme 4 Healing from Trauma and Reducing Addictions.
SK-NEIHR facilitates First Nations and Métis health research, training and knowledge mobilization throughout Saskatchewan that is grounded in community and led by Métis and First Nations people.
