SHA CARES values grow in rooftop garden
Produce and herbs grown in the rooftop garden at Saskatoon’s Royal University Hospital last summer provided more than fresh and local food.
The garden project is an innovative example of the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s CARES values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Equity and Safety).

Twenty-four aeroponic towers were installed on the roof of Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon in 2024 as part of a pilot project.
