Meet the Corporate and Clinical Policy Team
Michael McGill
Michael is a noteworthy leader in the Public Sector health space and has experience in multiple provincial jurisdictions. You may know Michael from his work as a Privacy and Access Officer as well as an Internal Auditor with the SHA. Michael returns to the SHA from Island Health on Vancouver Island where he led the Information Stewardship, Audit and Privacy team (Privacy Operations). Michael is honored and privileged to bring the wealth of leadership education and experience gained on the traditional territories of the Lkwungen People, which includes the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations, back to the place he calls "home", Treaties 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 territories and the Homeland of the Dakota, Lakota and Métis. Michael feels that leading a team is a privilege, and an incredible responsibility, and leading the Corporate and Clinical Policy team for the SHA is exactly that!
Andrea Rudulier
Andrea joined the team in November 2024 as the Policy Associate, bringing plenty of experience from her background in Patient Safety. She joined the former Saskatoon Health Region in 2008 working in Finance for a very brief period before joining Patient Safety. For the past ten years, she served as a Patient Safety Associate.
With diplomas from Saskatoon Business College as well as the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (specializing in Records and Information Management), she is committed to supporting the team's success by upholding organized and efficient processes. She looks forward to fostering collaboration, maintaining high standards, and driving continuous improvement.
Donna Chalifoux
Donna joined the Policy team after more than 15 years in former Saskatoon Health Region in the human resources, quality, and mental health departments. She has a Master of Education Degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Donna enjoys building positive relationships and making complicated things simple. She looks forward to working collaboratively in support of strong policy development to achieve the SHA's goals.
Danika Shoffner
Danika completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Operations Management from the University of Saskatchewan in 2014. She joined the SHA in 2018 and then moved to her role as Policy Specialist in 2019. Danika is excited to be part of the policy team and collaborate with many areas within the organization to ensure cohesion and standardization in policy and procedure across the province.
Paula Wright
Paula advanced to a Policy Specialist role in December 2020 after gaining experience from working closely with the policy team as the Executive Assistant to Governance and Policy since January 2018.
Paula joined the former Saskatoon Health Region in 2007 and has experience in a variety of roles which include: Physician Recruitment Associate with Practitioner Staff Affairs, Coordinator for Enterprise Risk Management and Legal Services where she was also the Insurance Claims Management Lead, and Coordinator for Privacy and Access.
Paula loves building working relationships and developing new and improved processes within the department and is excited to work with SHA teams to facilitate the development of provincial policy. On her own time, she is working towards a Plain Language Certificate from Simon Fraser University to support the Policy Office's goal to make policy easy to understand.
Jessica Watt
Jessica moved into her role as a Policy Specialist in August, 2022. She joined the SHA in 2015 and worked within the former Kelsey Trail Health Region Human Resources and Practitioner Staff Affairs departments. She completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 2012. Jessica is excited to be joining the Policy team and looks forward to working collaboratively to achieve strong provincial policies and procedures that support the SHA’s objectives.
Nicole Lipinski
Nicole joined the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) December, 2021 as the Administrative Assistant for Governance and Policy. In April, 2022 she moved to her role as Policy Associate. With the experience and knowledge gained from the Associate role Nicole moved into her role as Policy Specialist October 2024.
Nicole has worked in health care for over 12 years in a variety of roles including Continuing Care Aid with the former Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region, Chemotherapy Scheduler and Administrative Assistant with the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency (SCA).
Nicole enjoys implementing new processes and supporting the team goals for the future.
