EcoPass Program
The EcoPass is a regular adult City of Saskatoon Transit pass that is offered to SHA employees at a 40% cost reduction. This cost reduction is shared through matching subsidies provided by SHA and the City of Saskatoon.
Please note, our EcoPass program is only available to employees paid directly through SHA Payroll for at minimum the last 12 consecutive months. Since the EcoPass is loaded for 12 months, you must commit for an entire year.
EcoPasses are ordered one week before the end of a particular month so applications will have to be received by then in order to get one for the upcoming month. We will call applicants once passes are in. They can be picked up at our RUH office or we can send them interoffice mail to your department. You will be charged for your pass once it is ordered, not when it is picked up.
It is the responsibility of the EcoPass holder to renew their pass two weeks prior to the expiry date. Your pass expiry date is displayed on the swipe machine each time you get on the bus. If not renewed, your EcoPass will be automatically deactivated after your expiry date. If, after this, you still want a pass, you will have to reapply as new applicant for the following month and pay the administrative fee of $5.
To renew your EcoPass, you will be required to fill out an application so that we have up to date records. If renewing before the expiry date, the administrative fee is waived. When filling out the form, please include your EcoPass number, printed on the back of your pass.
Early cancellations (as per Program Terms), will only be accepted in writing either by email at parking@saskatoonhealthregion.ca or by stopping in at the RUH parking office.
