Collection procedure
- Second morning sample urine collection collected between 07:30 and 10:00 a.m.
- When monitoring therapy, baseline samples should be collected prior to initiation of therapy. Subsequent specimens should be collected at the same time of day as baseline specimens.
Required volume
- Optimal volume: 20 mL
- Minimum volume: 1 mL aliquots
(Submitting the minimum volume makes it impossible to repeat the test or perform confirmatory/reflex testing. In some situations, a minimum volume may require a second collection.)
